Welcome to the first week of the SELF x Food52 No Takeout Challenge! We're so excited that you'll be doing this with us for the next four weeks. Here we go... hope you're hungry!

This week it's all about simplicity and flavor: Each of the incredible Food52 recipes listed below can be made with just five ingredients or fewer. So here's your game plan:

  1. Check out the 10 Food52 recipes we've selected below. Choose your five favorites. Then plan what nights you want to cook each meal. (This doesn't have to be a Sunday-through-Thursday thing. Do what works best for YOUR schedule.)

  2. Hit up the grocery store now if you need to! Meal prep makes life a gajillion times easier.

  3. Don't forget to chime in on Instagram and Twitter to share what meals you're going to cook. Pictures of your meals welcomed! Tag @SelfMagazine and @Food52 to give us a heads up. We'll be using the hashtags #NoTakeoutChallenge and #TeamSELF, just FYI.

  4. Oh, also, worth noting: If you're not into these recipes you can totally do your own thing. The goal is to cook five dinners this week, ideally using just five ingredients or fewer for each main course. You can do this. We can all do this together!
