Town in Seine-et-Marne in the Île-de-France, Bussy-Saint-Georges is located twenty kilometers from Paris, in the new town of Marne-la-Vallée. Liberation commemoration ceremony: Every last Sunday of August, a ceremony is held in Villeneuve-Saint-Denis, in memory of 11 young resistance fighters executed by the German army on August 25, 1944. It is annually followed by a tribute to Sergeant Fighter Pilot Raymond Robert, killed June 3, 1940 in Favières.
