The Hidden Hard Side of Homeschooling

The seemingly simple things are sometimes the most challenging. Can you relate?
  • Some days I just don’t feel like homeschooling.
  • I am struggling to keep my three-year-old occupied while I homeschool my older children.
  • I’m behind on everything.
  • I don’t know how to focus on God.
  • I can’t figure out if my child has a learning challenge or is just being stubborn.
  • I’m worried I will fail my kids.
  • I feel completely overwhelmed.
  • There’s never enough time or money or energy.
  • Bad attitudes are a big problem in my homeschooling—and I’m talking about me, not my kids.
  • I can’t figure out how to organize my schedule for flexibility and productivity.
  • I wish I were more consistent.

If this sounds familiar…well, it’s time for some help.

You’ve Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers.

How do I participate?

Click here to sign up for the free access to selected sessions now, then check your email for a link to the sessions, and stay tuned for other updates from Homeschool Summits. If you like, follow instructions to upgrade and watch all 26 videos from the event!

How do I watch the sessions?

Super simple — just open your email confirmation, click the link, and then play the video to stream to your device. Each video is about 45 minutes long, and you can watch from your computer, smart TV, or mobile device.

Is it really free?

Yep, for sure! The Exhibit Hall and selected videos listed for free on this page are all just that – no cost to you and no strings attached. (You can opt to register for an All-Access Pass to get even more exclusive video content, but that’s up to you.)

Do I need to have a Facebook account to participate?

Nope! No social media account is required to view the video sessions. The keynote and morning devotions are broadcast on Facebook, but we’ll also share them on the website, and all other video sessions are here too.

We encourage you to connect with us via Facebook to participate in some great discussion and Q&A, but it’s not required.

Why is this called 2.0?

Back in 2017 we held the original Teaching Summit, and we decided to bring it back with most of the original sessions plus some new ones — so whether this is your first time to participate or you’re returning, you’ll find plenty to help and encourage.

We’re so glad you asked! Homeschool Summits is a project brought to you by CHEC and Generations, both non-profit organizations based in Colorado that exist to help parents raise their children to love and serve God. CHEC is a Colorado-based organization that defends homeschool freedom and helps families to homeschool with confidence. (Learn more here.) Generations is a national organization that offers a daily radio program, family events, curriculum, and more. (Learn more here.) Together, they are working to bring Homeschool Summits to your home.

Can I participate as an affiliate, exhibitor, or speaker?

Sure! If you’d like to market this event through your own online platform and receive 50% earnings, learn more here.

Or, if you’d like to learn more about being a exhibitor or speaker, click here.

Can I attend this instead of an in-person homeschool conference?

Short answer = nope! We ARE pulling together a fantastic lineup of speakers and even shopping options, but it won’t replace attending your local homeschool conference. We highly recommend checking with your local state’s organization (find a list here) for more information about their conferences. As awesome as this summit will be, we still believe that the in-person networking of a local conference is invaluable!

Can I receive continuing education credit for attending this event?

If you decide to upgrade yourfree event registration to an All-Access pass (learn more after registering for the free event), you will be eligible to receive continuing education credit.

Your hosts for Homeschool Summits meet with each speaker over video chat right at home (with kiddos nearby!) to hear their wisdom and ask them personalized questions — essentially your own personal guides through the Summit. Get to know them a little here:

Meet Your Hosts

“We first started homeschooling about 25 years ago… well, our parents did! As homeschool grads, we’re enthusiastic about home education, discipleship, and the church, and we take that into our daily life. We desire to raise our family (two little ones so far!) to know and love Christ wholeheartedly, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to share that passion with others!”

A little more about the rest of us.

Homeschool Summits is brought to you by a small team of homeschool parents and grads in the ministries of Generations and CHEC. Through Homeschool Summits, we share resources and encouragement that families need to homeschool with confidence and pass on the faith to their children.

Why all this? Because we’re passionate about reaching the next generation with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
