The gauge’s illuminated red needle sweeps 270° and is powered by stepper motor technology. You’ll get an effective combination of incredibly precise gauge readings with extremely smooth needle movement. The 2’ Sensor & Power Harness utilizes Plug and Play Connectivity to easily snap into the modular connector on the back of the gauge. The extended wire length gives you added flexibility during the installation process. | Mounting Bracket
A Mounting Bracket is included with hardware which attaches the bracket to the back of the gauge for a secure fit in any vehicle’s in-dash mount. The bracket is U-shaped and made out of metal to be extremely durable. |
Why Is Transmission Temperature So Important?
One of the major factors in reducing the life of a vehicle’s transmission is overheating, and one of the main reasons a truck transmission overheats is due to the strain of towing larger and heavier amounts of cargo. Your trans temp gauge will monitor transmission temperatures during a larger haul and alert you in the event of temperature spikes. Another issue is older transmission fluid. Older transmission fluid will be less effective at performing its primary functions, one of the most important of which is keeping the system cool.
